Bear has qualified for the IFSS World Championship Dryland 2017!

 Bear and his owner Sarah Lesting started swimming at Snowy’s Canine Therapy Centre to prepare for TriDog April 2017 as well as improve Bear’s overall fitness.

 Bear has been racing competitively since November 2016 in canicross classes. In February 2017, having turned 18 months old, Bear had the chance to compete in the wheels class at the BSSF (British Sled-dog Sports Foundation) Race in Thetford.

Not only did Bear have an amazing time, he also helped his musher, Ellie Camacho, take 3rd place in the class! Together they have qualified for the IFSS World Championship Dryland 2017 in Poland later on this year!

 Sarah has been overwhelmed with the results at Snowy’s;

“In just a few sessions, Bear’s confidence grew and he became a smooth and competent swimmer, he is loving the time at Snowy’s and he now barks as we pull into the drive because he knows exactly where we are! He has his favourite toys that Toyah and Jak use to encourage swimming in all directions working on all of the muscle groups.  We also utilise the time in the pool to work on our directions – all benefitting to his sled dog training!  Most of all – we all have an enjoyable time!”

 All of us at Snowy’s are wishing Bear the best of luck and look forward to continue supporting him in his bright and positive future.

Snowy’s team attended the Forward Symposium Conference 2017 (Fitzpatrick’s Orthopaedics and Rehabilitation for Working, Agility and Recreational Dogs)

#Forward17

This was a great day and very informative. Giving huge insight as to why it matters and what we can do to help you and your dog achieve your goals - be it competition, recreational or rehabilitation. The day consisted of; the dog’s structure, breed specific musculoskeletal conditions, common sports injuries, massage and stretching, canine sports retraining – post injury. This has reaffirmed our belief that we are able to offer you one of the best rehabilitation programmes available in Kent.
